Are you ready for a cycling adventure in Belgium? Join us and see Belgium from a different point of view, literally! Focus Flanders has many different ‘Belgium Bicycle Tours’ available; there’s something for everyone. We offer leisurely tours that last a few hours or a day, or more strenuous ones that continue for several days. We’ll follow some of the best-known Flanders cycling routes and some famous (or infamous?) long-distance cycling routes of Belgium. We have a Belgian Coast Bike Tour as part of our seven-day Flanders Bike Tour, a couple of bicycle-themed team-building events, some tours that combine the cycling with visits to war-time points of interest, and some that use bicycling as an excuse to just eat and drink.

Seven-day Flanders Bike Tour – Cycling Flanders Fields
Our seven-day tour will guide your group from Bruges (The Venice of the North), over the flat lands of Western Flanders, to Belgium’s coastal cities. After the Belgian Coast Bike Tour, we’ll make stops at several well-known sites of both World Wars, including Flanders Fields and the German Atlantikwall. We’ll have you try out your gears on some of the hills made famous by cycling classics such as the Tour of Flanders. All this will of course be interspersed with beer tastings and Flemish culinary delights.
Fun in Ostend: go-carts, maritime history, beer and mussels
During this three to four-hour team-building event your group will travel through the coastal city of Ostend by go-cart. There will be stops along the way where our guide will talk about the (maritime) history of this ‘pearl of Belgium’s coastal cities.’ We’ll also make time for some beer and seafood tastings and we’ll have a ‘mussels with fries’ dinner overlooking the North Sea.
Cycling along the Lys river, site of a famous artist colony and a gin distillery
A two-hour bicycle tour, on tandems (!), will take your group on a trip along the Lys river near the historical city of Ghent. During the first half of the 20th century, this area became famous for the artist colony that developed here.
This active team-building activity will end with a 45-minute tour through the Filliers distillery, showing you the artisan craftsmanship built up over five generations, resulting in the most exquisite gin, of which you’ll get a taste of course!
Culinary Bike Tour from Bruges to Damme
Cycling along the famous historical canal ‘De Damse Vaart’ (ordered by Napoleon), we’ll enjoy sights of historical buildings, windmills and ramparts, and have our lunch or dinner at three different locations, each with its own atmosphere and regional specialties. When we talk about regional dishes, think about shrimp croquettes, a beef or lamb stew, and a sweet dessert… This tour takes about 4 to 5 hours and is a wonderful combination of play, culture and gastronomy!
NEW bicycle tours – now available in Ghent
Focus Flanders now also offers bicycle tours that start in the city centre of Ghent. A two to three-hour program will take you on a bicycle tour (10 km) along the city’s famous canals: the Lys, Scheldt, Ketelvaart and Lieve rivers.
A second programme takes you to the ‘Green Belt’ around Ghent (25 km, 3 to 3.5 hours). We’ll cycle through the peripheral municipalities and nature reserves around Ghent.
